As one of the most iconic nameplates in automotive history, it’s no surprise to see the Ford Bronco immortalized in all kinds of ways, including the radio-controlled Traxxas Ford Bronco TRX-4M, a Hot Wheels version of the Bronco R racer, a Red Line Club Hot Wheels Bronco Wildtrak diecast, and a diecast version of the 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer from the folks at Greenlight Collectibles, to name just a few, though there are many others in the works as well. Now, Matchbox is getting in on the game by launching this new collector’s edition model based on the 2021 Ford Bronco, too.
This special 2021 Ford Bronco diecast is a two-door model with a special livery and a base black paint job with multi-colored graphics, plus “DER Desert Endurance Racing” logos on the doors and hood, all covering a ZAMAC body. The 1:64 scale model is equipped with black wheels fitted with orange trim rings and “off-road” tires that complete the look, plus medium smoke-tinted windows, to boot.
Unlike some other smaller diecasts out there, this is a Matchbox Collectors exclusive model, so it has doors that open, coupled with some impressive detailing. It also comes packaged in a nice oversized acrylic case with a decorative outer box, making it perfect for those that want to display the Ford Bronco collectible in their office or garage, right next to the real thing.
Since this is a Matchbox Collectors model, those that want to purchase this 2021 Ford Bronco diecast must do so from the company’s website. The new model is slated to be released on January 11th at 9am PST too, so interested parties may want to go ahead and set a reminder for that date and time, just in case this limited diecast is in high demand.
