The all-new, fully redesigned 2024 Ford Transit Custom debuted in the spring of 2022, and launched in Europe just this past October – though it will soon arrive in other markets around the globe, too. At least in Europe, the new Ford Transit Custom will be available in a variety of configurations and with many different types of powertrains – ranging from traditional diesels a plug-in hybrid. Now, The Blue Oval continues to expand those offerings with the addition of the newly-revealed 2024 Ford Transit Custom Sport lineup for Australia, too.
When Ford revealed the E-Transit Custom for Australia earlier this month, it noted that the van would be offered in one just trim – Trend – and two variants – short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB), along with the 2.0L EcoBlue engine making 125kW (168 horsepower) and 390Nm (288 pound-feet) of torque, which is mated to the automaker’s eight-speed automatic transmission. However, it will now add the Transit Custom Sport Van and Transit Custom Sport Double Cab to that list of offerings, too.
Both of these new variants will launch alongside the aforementioned Trend, though they’ll offer customers a more stylish option. The Transit Custom Sport range will utilize the same EcoBlue diesel as the Trend, albeit with some unique exterior treatments such as a body kit and sport stripes. In terms of differentiation, the Transit Custom Sport Double Cab offers up space for five occupants versus the three available in all other Transit Custom variants thanks to the addition of a second row of seats.
Transit Custom Sport Van and Sport Double Cab customers will be able to choose from one of five additional paint colors – Agate Black, Magnetic, Moondust Silver, Grey Matter, and Digital Aqua Blue. As for pricing, the Transit Custom Sport Van starts out at $59,990 AUD ($39,443 USD), and the Transit Sport Custom Double Cab has an MSRP of $62,990 AUD ($41,415 USD).

Will the new van be sold in the US?
I loved my 2 transit connects but they got way too expensive. $12k more 4 years later. That’s the problem with building cars overseas. A good chunk of that was for shipping. These are crazy prices for what they are unless they’re a lot more loaded than the Connects were here.
