The first-generation Ford Bronco was a quickly-appreciating asset even before the sixth-generation model marked the rugged SUV’s comeback in 2021. In fact, we’ve seen more than a few early Broncos hit the auction block in recent months and command big money, a list that includes a custom 1977 example, a 1973 pickup conversion, and a 1974 Bill Stroppe Baja Edition, to name just a few. Now, however, we’ve come across something a bit different that early Ford Bronco fans could potentially add to their collection – this cool custom golf cart that’s going up for auction at Mecum’s upcoming Kissimmee, Florida sale.
This Ford Bronco golf cart has all the modifications one might typically find on a nice restomod version of the real thing, all in a much smaller package. That includes the model’s unmistakable styling cues, a lifted stance, “cut” rear fenders, and even a classic paint color covering its flanks – Brittany Blue. The small replica rolls on a set of rather large – for a golf cart, at least – 14-inch chrome wheels, which are wrapped with a beefier set of tires.
Otherwise, everything else one might expect to see on a full-size Bronco is present and accounted for – a windshield to protect one from buffeting and bugs, a full array of LED lighting, custom front and rear bumpers, and even four-wheel disc brakes. The interior is its own work of art, finished in a custom shade of tan with diamond-stitched seats, a custom steering wheel, a digital display, and a waterproof Bluetooth stereo with speakers.
In terms of power, this particular Ford Bronco golf cart packs something that new ones don’t – a fully electric setup consisting of a 5kW motor that draws juice from a lithium battery. Regardless, it’s cool enough to warrant plenty of attention when it crosses the auction block in just a few weeks, and we imagine that will certainly be the case, given how incredibly popular the Bronco is in general.
