The Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo launched alongside the sixth-generation SUV a few years ago, giving owners the chance to test out the new model on a variety of curated trails in different locations around the U.S. Since then, Ford has expanded the Off-Roadeo to include buyers of used models and even the general public, all while introducing a new Off-Roadeo experience catering specifically to the Ford Bronco Raptor. Now, mere weeks after actress and Ford partner Sydney Sweeney was able to experience the Bronco Off-Roadeo herself, Formula 1 drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez headed out to the Ford Bronco Raptor Off-Roadeo to try their hands at navigating the high-performance machine around a curated track, too.
As most are well aware by now, Ford announced its return to F1 early last year, as it will produce power units for the Red Bull Oracle team. Verstappen and Perez just so happen to be the drivers for that outfit, so it makes perfect sense to see them out enjoying the fruits of that new partnership.
As one might imagine, tackling an off-road course such as this one is quite a bit different than whipping an F1 car around a tight circuit, prompting the drivers to wonder if, in fact, they could actually scale some of the obstacles on this particular course.
Regardless, the Bronco Raptor proved to be more than up to the task, and it’s also pretty clear that Verstappen and Perez had one heck of a good time testing its capabilities on the 1.3-mile course. “It was great, great fun…can’t wait to be back here,” said Perez following the conclusion of this action-packed day in the dirt.
