Ford Argentina has been in the midst of a major lineup overhaul for years now, with a bevy of new products being added along the way. That list includes models like the refreshed Ford Kuga Hybrid, the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E crossover and E-Transit van, and the rugged Ford Bronco Sport. Back in 2020, The Blue Oval also announced that the Ford Bronco was slated to be sold in Argentina starting in 2021, but that never actually happened as the SUV has long been plagued by supply chain issues. Now, however, the off-road-focused SUV is finally set to launch in Argentina in Wildtrak trim only, the automaker has announced.
The Ford Bronco Wildtrak will join Argentina’s lineup this year, the automaker officially announced in Pinamar as part of the recent Ford Summer Energy event. That particular model is on display for customers to check out at the Pinamar Norte stand currently, after which it will travel to Cariló ahead of its planned on-sale date, which is currently scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.
There, the Ford Bronco Wildtrak will be seemingly identical to the one that’s been on sale in the U.S. since the 2021 model year. That means it will essentially represent the top trim level with most features included as standard, including the twin turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission, along with the Sasquatch Package.
It’s unclear if the Ford Bronco Wildtrak in Argentina will be offered in two-door guise along with the four-door configuration, and the automaker hasn’t yet announced pricing for the new model, either. Regardless, it will mark the sixth-gen Bronco’s long-awaited debut in that country, and we imagine that eager buyers who have been waiting nearly four years for this moment won’t be terribly disappointed, regardless.
