Ford Chile Sales Up 19 Percent In December 2023

Ford Chile sales increased 19 percent to 1,371 units in December 2023. The figures place Ford as the seventh country’s best-selling brand during the month, behind Toyota, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Suzuki, Kia and Maxus.

Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Ford model sales performance (for models for which sales data is available) was as follows:

Ford F-Series sales increased 44.09 percent to 183 units
Ford heavy truck sales were flat at 1 unit
Ford Ranger sales increased 18.38 percent to 541 units
Ford Territory sales increased 44.79 percent to 236 units
Ford Transit sales decreased 23.62 percent to 97 units

During the complete 2023 calendar year, Ford Chile sales increased 0.14 percent to 13,288 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Chile sales increased significantly in December 2023, and last month’s solid performance means the automaker posted positive sales figures for a decent chunk of last year. As such, this is the Blue Oval’s third consecutive monthly increase in the Chilean market, and it represents a significant improvement over previous months.

Almost all Ford Chile models managed to increase their sales in December, including the best-selling Ford Ranger, which continued to increase in popularity thanks to the arrival of the new generation. With its steady rollout, the mid-size pickup strengthens its position as the brand’s best-selling model in that country.

Additionally, Ford Territory and F-Series also posted healthy double-digit increases during the month. Only the Ford Transit suffered a loss of volume.
