Ford Motor Company Mexico Sales Up 29 Percent In December 2023

Ford Motor Company Mexico sales increased 29 percent to 5,808 units in December 2023. Sales increased at both Ford and Lincoln.

Brand & Model Sales

Ford sales increased 29.45 percent to 5,696 units:

Ford Bronco sales decreased 40.59 percent to 101 units
Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 94.2 percent to 268 units
Ford E-Transit sales increased 233.33 percent to 120 units
Ford Edge sales decreased 72.73 percent to 12 units
Ford Escape sales decreased 17.14 percent to 203 units
Ford Expedition sales decreased 52.44 percent to 39 units
Ford Explorer sales decreased 11.64 percent to 129 units
Ford F-Series sales increased 4.49 percent to 1,629 units
Ford Maverick sales increased 50.23 percent to 332 units
Ford Mustang sales increased 240 percent to 136 units
Ford Mustang Mach-E sales decreased 37.5 percent to 5 units
Ford Ranger sales decreased 9.13 percent to 707 units
Ford Territory sales increased 149.91 percent to 1,367 units
Ford Transit sales increased 145.37 percent to 503 units
Ford Transit Courier sales decreased 19.89 percent to 145 units

Lincoln sales increased 1.82 percent to 112 units:

Lincoln Aviator sales decreased 10 percent to 18 units
Lincoln Corsair sales increased 25.81 percent to 39 units
Lincoln Nautilus sales decreased 73.33 percent to 8 units
Lincoln Navigator sales increased 62.07 percent to 47 units

For 2023, Ford Motor Mexico sales increased 15 percent to 49,242 units.

The Ford Authority Take

December 2023 was the tenth consecutive month of sales increases for Ford of Mexico, which no doubt improved the automaker’s position in the country. Unlike previous months, last month’s promising figure was not only driven by the Ford brand but also included a slight increase for Lincoln as well.

For the third consecutive month, FoMoCo’s sales increase in Mexico during December was driven by a solid performance of the Ford F-Series, which once again the most popular Ford vehicle for the month. The all-new Ford Territory took second with a notable volume of 1,367 deliveries and a staggering 150 percent year-on-year increase, allowing it to finish the year as Ford’s best-selling model in the cumulative total.

Additionally, the all-new Ford Mustang and the Transit van line also stand out, the latter having obtained triple-digit increases in both its internal combustion configuration and the all-electric E-Transit. For its part, the Lincoln Navigator was the luxury brand’s most prominent model, and it even surpassed the monthly volume of the Ford Expedition.
