The Ford Mustang has long been one of the most popular performance-focused vehicles on the market, a celebrated automotive icon in many regards. However, sadly, not everyone is what one might call qualified to drive such a machine, and we’ve seen our fair share of Mustang-related mishaps over the years – whether that be crashes or failed attempts out outrunning the law. However, one Ford Mustang driver recently used their pony car in a very different sort of crime after they attempted to steal a whopping 65 Stanley “Quencher” tumblers from a store in Roseville, California.
As most are well aware by now, the Stanley tumbler is one of the hottest consumer products on the planet at the moment, with a bevy of eager collectors swarming stores in recent months in an attempt to get their hands on one – especially the Valentine’s Day colored mugs that came out recently. Thus, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to learn that a woman attempted to steal 65 of them from a store recently, which had a total value of around $2,500, according to the City of Roseville Police Department.
However, the thief in this particular case wasn’t seemingly too worried about being caught, as several employees apparently witnessed her stuffing the pricey tumblers in her cart, then wheeling them out the door without paying for them. Despite their efforts to stop her, she just kept on going, loading up her Ford Mustang with the mugs and driving away.
Patrol Update🚨
On the afternoon of January 17, Roseville Police Officers responded to a retail store on the 6000 block…Posted by City of Roseville, California Police Department on Sunday, January 21, 2024
As one might imagine, the thief didn’t get too far before police spotted the pony car and pulled her over, after which she was promptly arrested and charged with grand theft. Humorously, Roseville P.D. noted that “while Stanley Quenchers are all the rage, we strongly advise against turning to crime to fulfill your hydration habits,” which is probably good advice – no matter how much they might be going for on the second-hand market.

No wonder, It’s california.
I’m surprised they even arrested her. She probably got arrested not for the thefts but for some CARB violation.
What do you expect, it’s a Mustang driver! Stupid idiot!
The greater Sacramento area has had a terrible retail theft problem, almost as bad as Oakland’s. No matter what kind of getaway car she drove, Mustang Sally is just emblematic of what is going on here.
