Ford Performance Partners With Sparco For Racing Gear

The new Ford Mustang GT3 debuted last June as one of many Dark Horse-based racers set to take on motorsports events across the globe over the coming years, immediately facing strong demand from the onset, which recently prompted FoMoCo to build more examples of the new racer. We’ll get our first look at the new Mustang GT3 racer in action this weekend at its debut via the Rolex 24 at Daytona, but in the meantime, Ford Performance has announced that it’s also teaming up with a familiar name for that same factory racing program – Sparco.

Sparco – a well-known entity that’s been making motorsports wear and equipment for many years now – will once again team up with Ford Performance, this time as an official supplier for The Blue Oval’s North American Mustang GT3 factory racing program in the IMSA sanctioned GTD Pro category. Sparco will provide technical racewear and team apparel for the Ford Multimatic Motorsports GTD Pro program, starting with this weekend’s race in Daytona.

“All of us at Ford and Ford Performance are proud of our roots as a family company,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director of Ford Performance Motorsports. “Having dedicated partners, like Sparco, who share our determination and passion in both global motorsports and road car programs is what helps carry on that legacy. Ford Performance and Sparco jointly embrace a commitment to excellence, fostering continuous innovation both on and off the track and we are excited about what the future holds.”

“The announcement of the partnership with Ford Performance is the result of a union between two entities that share a common passion for excellence and a determination to achieve extraordinary performance,” said Aldino Bellazzini, Sparco president and CEO. “Together, Sparco and Ford Performance are committed to pushing every limit with constant research and development, bringing cutting-edge innovation and style to global motorsport.”

I wonder if this new seating partner arrangement will have any impact on the current relationship with Recaro?
