The sixth-generation Ford Bronco burst onto the off-road racing scene at the 2021 King of the Hammers, which marked the debut of the Ultra4 4400 unlimited class and 4600 stock class racing versions of the SUV. The Ford Bronco off-road racing lineup went on to sweep the podium at the 2022 King of the Hammers race, and returned to the same event in 2023 with a full roster, where it proceeded to accomplish that same feat for the second consecutive year. Now, Ford Performance has revealed its full 2024 King of the Hammers lineup as The Blue Oval works to make it a three-peat.
Set to take place at the end of this month, the 2024 King of the Hammers race will see a Ford lineup consisting of Loren Healy (No. 67), Jason Scherer (No. 76), Vaughn Gittin Jr. (No. 25), and Bailey Cole in the 4400 class, as well as the pairings of Loren Healy and Vaughn Gittin Jr. (No. 2567), Brad and Adam Lovell (No. 4621), as well as Bailey Cole and Cole Johnson (No. 13) in the 4600 series.
King of the Hammers has developed a reputation for being one of the toughest off-road races on the planet in the nearly two decades that it’s been going on, spanning 90 miles of rugged terrain that ranges from smooth, high-speed desert runs to massive, jagged rocks and pretty much everything in between. Around 80,000 fans showed up to cheer on the conglomerate of drivers who attempted to conquer the vicious course last year as well.
Those interested in checking out all of the action this year can once again take advantage of the Bronco customer camping and trail driving experience at King of the Hammers, which will allow owners to get much closer to the action. In previous years, a number of special Blue Oval models have been on display as well, including the 2019 Bronco R racing prototype, the 2022 Baja 1000-winning Ford Ranger Raptor, the multi-time Rebelle Rally-winning Ford Bronco Sport, and the Bronco DR.
