Ford Vietnam Receives First-Class Order Of Labor Award

Ford has racked up its fair share of global awards pertaining to its environmental efforts in recent months, including the title of “Low-Carbon Green Factory” for the joint-venture Changan Ford operated Hangzhou Assembly plant, which obtained an official certification as a Zero-Waste Factory and Smart Factory in Zhejiang Province, as well as a Decision of Recognition for the Chongqing Enterprise Innovation Award from the Chongqing Municipal Government, which was also given to Changan Ford. Now, Ford Vietnam has earned its own accolade, this time, from the president of that country himself.

That honor is a First-Class Order of Labor, which was presented to Ford Vietnam during a ceremony held at its assembly plant in Hai Duong. The event was attended by the Secretary of Hai Duong Province, the Vice Ministers from Ministry of Investment and Planning, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transportation, the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, as well as Kay Hart, Ford IMG President.

Ford Vietnam is the biggest U.S.-based auto investor in Vietnam, and is considered a symbol of cooperation and companionship in developing relations between the two countries. This award recognizes the investment and commitment that The Blue Oval has made to Vietnam over the past 28 years, particularly, as well as its focus on growing business and investing in people, its dealer network, its customer experience, and local communities.
