Lincoln CPO Program Among Best For 2024

Ford has racked up its fair share of certified pre-owned (CPO) awards in recent years, earning the title of being the best truck and van brand in that regard in the 2024 Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards, which also granted the Lincoln Navigator the title of being the best large luxury SUV for used vehicle shoppers, too. Now, Lincoln – specifically, its certified pre-owned division – has once again been recognized for being among the best in the industry, this time by MotorTrend.

Teaming up with the analytics company IntelliChoice, MT set out to analyze the entire certified pre-owned vehicle market to determine which programs are the very best, based on a number of factors including warranties, special financing, inspections, total ownership costs, title verification, dealer compliance, roadside assistance programs, market penetration, and return or exchange options. In that regard, Lincoln ranked among the very best after it was awarded the title of “Best Used Ownership Cost (Premium).”

This marks the second year in a row Lincoln has secured a CPO award from IntelliChoice, and it managed to do that by presenting owners with the least expensive option among premium/luxury brands to own on a long-term basis. It was joined by Mini (Best CPO Program – Popular), Acura (Best CPO Program – Premium), Mini (Best CPO Warranty – Popular), Jaguar (Best CPO Warranty – Premium), and Mazda (Best Used Ownership Cost – Popular) this time around.

Certified pre-owned vehicles have long been touted as excellent alternatives to purchasing new, as the previous owner has already taken much of the depreciation hit, and yet, CPO vehicles are sold with factory warranties and following extensive inspections that ensure they’re in like-new condition. It’s a nice middle ground between a regular used vehicle and a new one, which is precisely why CPO programs have become so popular in recent years.
