Once a stalwart as an entry-level offering in FoMoCo’s lineup, the Ford Focus was discontinued in the U.S. years ago, and that will soon be the case in the rest of the world as well when production ends in 2025. However, we’ve seen our fair share of low-mile Ford Focus models pop up for sale as of late as well, including an amazing, never-registered 117-mile 2002 Focus, a 2003 ZX3 SVT with 345 miles, and a 2003 ZX3 with 15k miles, to name just a few. Now, this 2002 Ford Focus SE wagon has surfaced for sale on Bring a Trailer with a few more miles on the clock, but it’s still a rather stellar example of its breed.
After living with a single owner for the past couple of decades, this 2002 Ford Focus SE wagon is now up for grabs with just 61k miles on the clock, which is still quite low given its age – not to mention the fact that it’s not what one might call a collectible vehicle by most standards. Regardless, aside from a single dent, its Silver Clearcoat Metallic paint remains unmarred by flaws, which is essentially the case everywhere else one looks as well.
Inside the cabin, this Focus features Medium Graphite cloth seats, along with a few amenities such as air conditioning, cruise control, and a factory CD stereo along with power windows and door locks. Mechanically speaking, it’s relatively simple as well, with only front disc brakes and old fashioned drums residing in the rear.
Power for this Focus wagon comes from the naturally-aspirated 2.0L I-4 Zetec engine, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 130 horsepower and 135 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, sending that power to the front wheels. Regardless, it’s a nice example of a once-beloved model that’s seemingly starting to conjure up interest among collectors, too.

Ours ran fine when we sold it last year at 230000 miles.
Loved my Focus 2000 wagon. Sold it after 10 years and 110,000 miles and it was perfect. A young surfer was thrilled to get it. A very underated daily hauler. So amazingly trouble free.
Plot twist. Buyer won’t be able to find many OEM parts just like me with my 2002 Focus. And motor mounts, forget about it!
