2002 Lincoln Blackwood With Just 24K Miles Up For Auction

The 2002 Lincoln Blackwood came along far before its time as a luxurious pickup truck, a fact that ultimately sealed its fate. In fact, the Blackwood lasted just one model year in production, and only around 3,300 were built in total, making it a rather rare machine in today’s world, decades later. Regardless, we still see our fair share of Lincoln Blackwood pickups surface for sale, a list that most recently includes a 7k-mile example a couple of years ago, a pristine 30k-mile pickup, and another one with 44k original miles. Now, those in the market for the cool yet obscure model from Blue Oval history can bid on this 2002 Lincoln Blackwood with 24k miles that’s currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

This particular Blackwood has lived its entire life thus far in Michigan with two owners, at least before it was acquired by the selling dealer last year. Regardless, it certainly hasn’t been driven much over the past two-plus decades, and as a result, it still looks to be in excellent condition. All Blackwoods left the factory with black paint, aluminum pinstripes, and a wenge wood appliqué on the bed, and in this case, there aren’t too many bones to pick – save for the fact that the power-operated tonneau cover isn’t currently working.

The same is true of the interior, which has the typical wear such as creased leather seats, but otherwise, there is no major damage, nor any additional flaws to report here. What one will find are all the of the typical amenities present in most modern Lincolns, including automatic climate control, cruise control, navigation, power-adjustable pedals, a rear center console, and a factory Alpine AM/FM/cassette stereo with a six-disc CD changer.

All Blackwoods are powered by the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.4L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 300 horsepower and 355 pound-feet of torque, flowing to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. With a clean, accident-free history and low miles, this particular Blackwood has a lot to offer its new owner, and likely at a big discount versus its original MSRP.
