The debut of the all-new S650-generation 2024 Ford Mustang has repercussions beyond the walls of The Blue Oval, as the pony car’s massive aftermarket support system was also put to work developing new parts, accessories, and turnkey versions of that particular car as well. For long-time Mustang tuner Saleen, that meant celebrating the departure of the S550 by creating just 10 units of the SA-40 Speedster, and shortly thereafter, it also announced that it was already working on a suitable S650 replacement. The first came in the form of the 2024 Saleen 302 White Label, and now, the lineup has expanded yet again with the arrival of the 2024 Saleen 302 Yellow Label, too.
While the White Label is more about styling with a modest power boost, the 2024 Saleen 302 Yellow Label offers more of a serious performance upgrade in a number of ways. The main part of that increase comes from a supercharger, which helps boost output of the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine from 510 horsepower in the White Label all the way up to 745 horsepower in the Yellow Label.
In addition to this blower, the 2024 Saleen 302 Yellow Label also comes equipped with the company’s Gen 5 Racecraft suspension, brake upgrade, and Saleen wheels with stickier tires at all four corners. On the outside, the Yellow Label is largely similar in terms of styling to the White Label, but features a unique front fascia with an integrated splitter, coupled with a revised hood vent to keep the engine bay cool, plus a wing out back that provides additional downforce.
“This 302 Yellow Label puts the power in the hands of a few at a very reasonable entry price,” said Steve Saleen, founder of Saleen. “Where else can you get a very useable, 745 horsepower vehicle with great handling and appearance for about $80,000?”
