Last November, Ford Authority spotted a 2025 Ford Maverick prototype for the first time, previewing a forthcoming refresh for the ever-popular compact pickup. Then, just a few weeks later, that same model was once again spotted while it was out testing, wearing the same camo at the front and rear portions that is typically seen on refreshed prototypes. However, one thing that we hadn’t yet seen – at least until now – is the interior of the 2025 Ford Maverick, which now appears to be in line to adopt something from its big brother, the Ford Ranger.
It’s somewhat difficult to see here given the presence of camouflage covering portions of this pickup’s interior, but it does appear that this 2025 Ford Maverick prototype is equipped with the same type of infotainment screen present in the recently-redesigned Ranger, rather than the 13.2-inch unit used in the refreshed 2023 and up Ford Escape. This is notable because the Maverick shares the Ford C2 platform with the Escape – not the Ranger, which instead rides on the T6 platform.
The 2024 Ford Ranger is equipped with either a standard 10.1-inch or available 12-inch center infotainment screen. In this prototype, it certainly appears that the Maverick is equipped with the same 10.1-inch unit as the base Ranger, which is vertically-oriented rather than mounted in a landscape configuration. This is also notable given the fact that the forthcoming, refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport – which also rides on the C2 platform – was recently spotted by Ford Authority with the same 13.2-inch, landscape-style screen as the refreshed Escape.
Aside from the addition of this new screen, the 2025 Ford Maverick is expected to receive some minor exterior styling updates at the front and rear portions of the vehicle, along with some other potential changes such as the addition of new variants. Last June, Ford Authority exclusively reported that a street performance version of the Ford Maverick was in the works, and shortly thereafter, spotted what seemed to be a prototype of that model out at FoMoCo’s test track, followed by a pair of additional prototypes as well. Back in August, Ford also filed to trademark “Maverick Lobo,” which could signal the arrival of this or yet another variant, too.
We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Maverick model soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

Why refresh? Just build all you can. Fill all your orders. Keep the price down. It seems simple to me!
The automobile industry is very competitive and Ford like others must keep its products fresh and updated regularly to stay relevant.
