Shortly after the Ford Mustang GT3 debuted last June, Italy-based Dinamic GT announced that it planned to drop Porsche in favor of that new racer for the forthcoming Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe season. This came as a bit of a surprise given the fact that Dinamic had spent the prior five seasons competing in the Porsche 911 GT3 R, though it originally planned to pilot the Ford Mustang GT3 in both the Endurance and Sprint Cups, while also continuing to use its 911s at the Nürburgring 24 and NLS races. Now, however, as the Ford Mustang GT3 faces high demand following its debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, it seems as if Dinamic GT has had a change of heart, according to Sportscar365.
In a bit of a surprise, Dinamic announced that it was terminating its relationship with Ford immediately, meaning that it won’t be competing in the new Mustang GT3 at any upcoming events. This announcement was made in a social media post that noted the relationship between Dinamic and Ford had come to an “abrupt end,” but the team did not provide a reason for this sudden decision.
“Today, we have to share news we never wished to deliver,” the company wrote in a post on Instagram. “In recent times, your warmth and closeness on this page have been incredible. Unfortunately, for reasons we prefer not to delve into, our relationship with Ford has abruptly ended. The Dinamic GT team has worked tirelessly over the past few months on this collaboration, and we never stopped believing in this project. We announce that we will not be racing with Ford this season. But Dinamic GT doesn’t stop here; we will take a couple of days to reflect, but we can assure you that we will come back stronger than before. Because opportunities arise from crises, and giving up is not in our nature… We will return… and we will do so soon.”
