The Ford Authority Take

After experiencing an outstanding streak of 13 months of continuous increases in the country, Ford Argentina sales fell noticeably in January. Ford’s performance is in line with the generalized declines among the main automobile brands and the Argentine automotive market, which fell 33 percent during the first month of the year.

Ford Ranger XL Brazil - Exterior 001 - Rear Three Quarters

In clear contrast to previous months, most Ford vehicles in Argentina experienced large double and triple digit drops in January. The best-selling Ford Ranger suffered the first decrease since the arrival of the completely redesigned model in the country – where it is manufactured for the region, down 707 units year-on-year.

That said, three brand nameplates managed to post gains over the past month. Among them, the new Ford Territory stands out with a significant three-digit increase that positions the compact crossover as the brand’s second best-selling model in Argentina. The Bronco Sport and the F-150 also performed similarly.
