Following its debut in September 2022, the all-new, S650 generation 2024 Ford Mustang experienced a bit of a delay in regards to the start of production due to quality reviews that discovered some V8 engine valve issues, body panel fitment, and electrical problems. Once those things were sorted out, deliveries officially began, just after Mustang production at the Flat Rock Assembly plant ramped up in the month of July, reaching 4,349 units. Things really began to pick up in August before staying largely flat through the rest of the year, and strangely enough, Ford Mustang production actually decreased in January 2024, according to Ford’s latest sales report.
Last November, Ford Mustang production totaled 5,687 units before increasing by around 15 percent or 846 units to 6,553 pony cars in December. However, that number fell down to 5,926 units in January – a decrease of around 9.6 percent, or 627 units. It’s unclear why this was the case, but with Ford’s overall inventory currently ranking among the highest in the industry, perhaps the automaker is scaling things back for that particular reason.
Regardless of the reason, the 2024 Ford Mustang is all-new in many ways, ranging from its sheetmetal to updated suspension and powertrains, coupled with a high-tech interior with a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, and a new Sync 4 powered 13.2-inch infotainment screen – units that utilize the same Unreal Engine 3D creation tool used to make modern video games.
Customers can choose from the base 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost or the 5.0L V8 Coyote engines, the latter of which represents the fourth-generation version of that particular powerplant. Additionally, the 2024 Ford Mustang lineup added a brand new, range-topping variant dubbed the Dark Horse, which has since served as the basis for a massive motorsports push across multiple series.

2024 Mustangs aren’t selling because they’re overpriced and look like Camaros.
Get back the the original formula. A price that the common person could afford. And make it look like a Mustang and not a damn camaro.
Well I’m waiting for mine in Australia. Maybe they could produce some RHD cars!
Too expensive for what you get! Get back to the original vision, Ford team!!
Create an option for analog instrument panel.
