Ford Pro Series 2 AC Charging Station Now Available To Order

Ford Pro – the automaker’s commercial side of the business – originally announced that it would be offering EV customers charging options back in 2021, which are designed to provide fleets with a more seamless, integrated solution that makes the process of going electric far easier. Then, in March 2022, Ford Pro officially revealed its EV charger lineup, which was followed by a new Series 2 EV charger that just debuted last August. Now, the Ford Pro Series 2 AC Charging Station – as it’s officially known – is available to order.

The new 80A Ford Pro Series 2 AC Charging Station retails for $2,499 and offers fleet customers more than just quicker charging speeds, it seems. This new unit features enhanced security that limits unwanted charger access, as fleets are able to control who can use them via a unique RFID card, and those customers can even select specific dates and times the chargers can be accessed, too.

In addition, the new Series 2 AC charger features a detachable cable and connector that make servicing and repairing the units easier, offer a broad range of connectivity options with cellular pre-configured and optional Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, are ISO-15118 ready and update capable, feature a new LCD screen with loads of information, contains temperature sensors to prevent overheating, and come with a three-year warranty.

This new charger is capable of updating itself over-the-air for added convenience, and is designed to be easy to use while also enabling fleets to take advantage of scheduled charging, so that they can save some money by doing so during off-peak hours. The new Ford Pro Series 2 AC Charging Station is available to purchase now via the commercial business’ official site.
