The Blue Oval is in the midst of a van overhaul in Europe, where those types of vehicles have long been an incredibly popular choice among commercial customers. That includes the debut of the all-new Ford Tourneo Custom, which is available in a wide array of configurations, trims, and with multiple powertrain options to boot. Australia hasn’t been left out of this revamp either, as that country will also get the brand new Ford Transit Custom and Transit Custom Sport, for those looking for a bit more style from their utilitarian rides. Now, the Ford Tourneo has also been revealed for Australia, giving those same customers yet another option in the burgeoning van market.
In Australia, the Ford Tourneo will exist as a highly-configurable model capable of serving all sorts of purposes, whether that be as a family hauler or a more commercial-focused vehicle, one that also provides seating for up to eight people. The second and third-row seats are on tracks and can be configured in multiple ways to accommodate this broad range of uses, which should prove appealing to an array of customers.
Aside from its brand new exterior styling – which falls in line with the rest of FoMoCo’s fairly new international van lineup – the Ford Tourneo is also equipped with tech such as a 13-inch infotainment screen running SYNC 4, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and wireless charging. In terms of powertrain options, Australian customers get just one, for now – the 2.0L EcoBlue diesel, which sends power to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new Australian Ford Tourneo is available in two trim levels – Active and Titanium X – but pricing and launch information haven’t yet been provided. However, those details should be released in the coming months as we near the arrival of this new model.
We’ll have more on the Ford Tourneo soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Tourneo news and 24/7 Ford news coverage.

I especially like those seats that turn around. I wish I had that feature on my van. It would be good for sitting and socializing or eating with a roof over your head.
Just a rebadged VW p.o.s. .
I wouldn’t buy one. I’ll keep my 2021 Transit Connect (why the name difference??) Titanium forever!
