The Ford Authority Take
In recent months, more than one patent filing has aimed to incorporate fluids into future Ford vehicles, a list that includes ideas for a vehicle water heating system, water generation estimation technology, a vehicular water generation system, and an integrated pet bowl with water level sensing technology. Now, this newly-filed patent keeps that trend going in a slightly different direction by presenting us with an idea for a fluid storage container that may be used in future Ford vehicles, too.
With all kinds of storage containers finding their way into vehicles these days – which are used for all different sorts of functions – it certainly makes sense that one might want to have some water on hand for various reasons as well. Those could include providing hydration to those that may be out in a location where such a thing isn’t available, or perhaps even using the containers to take a shower or wash dishes.
In the case of this patent, there are actually two different water containers present in the rear cargo area of a vehicle, which are neatly integrated into that space. The containers are designed to be easily removable, and could even contain accessories such as a hose or shower head, which could then be coupled with a privacy curtain for bathing purposes. It’s an interesting concept for sure, and one that may very well wind up coming to fruition, given the popularity of camping and overlanding these days.
