Ty Majeski’s No. 98 NASCAR Ford F-150 had a strong showing at Altanta on February 24th, 2024, but try as he might, he couldn’t outrun the No. 7 Chevy Silverado RST of Kyle Busch across the finish line.
Majeski slipped into second place as the laps ticked down, tailing Busch for the opportunity to make the pass. On the last lap, he had a run on Busch and put pressure on him, but lost by 0.187 seconds. Majeski also barely defended second place against Corey Heim’s No. 11 Toyota TRD Tundra, edging him by 0.009 seconds for the runner-up position.
“I had a run, and I got to Kyle’s bumper,” Majeski said. “I knew he was going to cover the bottom. My only shot was to try and fade right, get to his quarter panel. That was the only shot that I had.”
He went on, “Overall, super proud of the day. The truck was a little ill-handling in the beginning. [Crew chief] Joe Shear made some great calls, tightened me up a little bit so we could go racing.”
The next-nest NASCAR Ford team was that of Lawless Alan, who guided the No. 33 F-150 across the line in 12th.
