Among the many tuners supporting the Ford Mustang over the years, Steeda is one of the more well-known entities. In fact, given how many parts and accessories that shop has sold for the S550-generation pony car over the years, it’s no surprise that it was quick to jump on the all-new S650 2024 Ford Mustang when it debuted recently, too. Along with working on new variants of the 2024 Ford Mustang for public consumption, Steeda also uses its own shop car – the Silver Bullet 2.0 – to develop go-fast goodies as well. Now, one of the first fruits of those efforts has debuted – Steeda’s new line of ProFlow air filters for the 2024 Ford Mustang.
These new Steeda ProFlow air filters are compatible with both the GT and Dark Horse models, each of which is powered by the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8 Coyote engine. The goal, as is typically the case with aftermarket air filters, is to deliver improved air flow and increased performance, and that’s precisely the case here as well.
Steeda’s ProFlow air filters are made from an eight-layer cotton gauze, which the company says provides superior filtration efficiency and ensures that no contaminants get into the engine – helping to both optimize performance and prolong engine life at the same time. The filters are also washable and reusable, which can save money over the long run, and as an added benefit, they’re proven to unleash a little extra power as well.
According to its dyno test results, Steeda notes that its ProFlow air filters add around three horsepower and two pound-feet of torque to the stock Coyote engine, which is a small but notable gain – particularly for those that intend to install additional modifications on their pony cars. Sold as a pair, the new ProFlow 2024 Mustang air filters are available to purchase now for a retail price of $149.95.
