The 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition served as a rolling homage to the original 1967 Shelby GT500 in its final year of production, sporting special Brittany Blue paint and other unique touches, all for an MSRP of $112,385 – if one could find a copy that wasn’t sporting a massive markup on top of that price. The 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition is a truly special machine, particularly since this same model year was the last for the S550-gen model – no GT500s were built in 2023, ahead of the launch of the all-new S650 Mustang. As such, this pony car is powered by the supercharged Ford 5.2L V8 Predator engine, sending 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This particular GT500 is also fully loaded with goodies including the Carbon Fiber Track Package with exposed carbon fiber wheels, a GT4 track wing, Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires, the Technology Package, and the rather pricey painted over-the-top white stripes that have also been customized by Ford Performance with blue painted pinstripes.
