Though Ford F-150 pickups from the late 1990s and early 2000s may still seem relatively modern, the truth is, they existed decades ago at this point, and things, well, they’ve changed a lot since then. Thus, we’ve seen a number of tenth-generation Ford F-150 pickups surface for sale at collector car auctions as of late, a list that includes a 1999 Lariat with just 45k miles, a 2003 XLT with 47k miles, and a 2003 F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition with a mere 20k miles. Now, this rather nice 2000 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCab Flareside pickup keeps that trend going, as it’s currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.
This particularly tenth-generation Ford F-150 has a shockingly low 27k miles showing on the odometer at the moment, and remained in the possession of the original owner until just last November. It was actually listed on BaT back in January, yet failed to sell with a high bid of $15,750, but now, it’s back for a no reserve auction, meaning that someone will get the chance to take it home, no matter what happens.
Whoever does submit the winning bid will get one heck of a nice Ford F-150, as this Bright Red example is in great shape save for a scratch or two on the aftermarket tonneau cover, which is also true of the interior. There, one will find some wear in places like the seats, door panels, and dash, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The seller has replaced the door lock actuators, tires, and rear differential ABS sensor, so this F-150 is seemingly ready to go. As far as power goes, it’s equipped with the 5.4L V8 that was factory rated to generate 260 horsepower and 345 pound-feet of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. There just aren’t too many bones to pick here, and as such, we imagine that this Ford F-150 will generate more interest this time around – and in fact, it has already been bid up past the $15k mark, with three days to go.
