Discontinued but certainly not forgotten, we’ve seen multiple nice, used examples of the Lincoln Continental pop up at various collector car auctions as of late – which is certainly good news for fans of the big and luxurious sedan. Most recently, that list includes a 36k-mile 1998 model, a 33k-mile 2000 Continental, and a 16k-mile 2002, to name just a few. Now, we have yet another super nice sedan to add to this list – a 2001 Lincoln Continental with a mere 36k miles on the clock, this time, up for auction at Bring a Trailer.
This 2001 Lincoln Continental has remained the possession of the same family since it was purchased new in Virginia, and now, the current owner is offering it up for sale after inheriting the luxury sedan back in 2022. Regardless, it hasn’t been driven much over the years, and as such, has only a few blemishes marring its otherwise like-new Autumn Red paint.
The same goes for the Light Parchment leather interior, which features a wide array of amenities that include heated power-adjustable front seats, birdseye maple wood trim accents, a power glass sunroof, power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, illuminated visor mirrors, a HomeLink universal garage door opener, an analog clock, an alarm system, cruise control, a trip computer, a working Lincoln-branded voice-activated cellular phone, and an Audiophile AM/FM/cassette stereo with a six-disc CD changer and an Alpine sound system.
This particular Lincoln Continental is powered by the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which was factory-rated to generate 275 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque when new. That power flows to the front wheels via four-speed automatic transmission, mated with mechanicals like a driver-adjustable air suspension and four-wheel anti-lock discs – making this luxury sedan every bit as nice to drive as it was when it was sold new.
We’ll have more cool auction finds to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Lincoln news, Lincoln Continental news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.

When a Lincoln was a Lincoln…
Question
What are “K” miles? Does it mean the car has 36 miles or 36,000. Miles? Or is the millage calculated in kilameters?
I worked at a car dealership in the 80’s. I dont remember a “K” after the millage? Beautiful car though.
So you really think he could mean 36 kilometers miles?
I am interested in this car to stretch into a limo. Can you contact me?
