The Ford Expedition isn’t exactly what most would consider to be a future classic or collectible vehicle, but in recent months, we’ve seen a few nice, low-mile examples pop up at collector car auctions, regardless. That list includes a 1998 model with 40k miles and a 53k-mile 1999 SUV, as well as a pair of Lincoln Navigator SUVs – the Expedition’s platform-mate – a 2010 with 52k miles and a 2011 with 14k miles. Now, this 2013 Ford Expedition EL has surfaced for sale at Bring a Trailer, giving those seeking a nice example of this particular SUV more choices in that regard.
This 2013 Ford Expedition EL is finished in the luxurious Limited trim and was a one-owner vehicle until the seller acquired it in January, but now, it’s up for grabs as it seeks a new home. With just 66k miles on the clock, it certainly has a lot of life left, and there aren’t a ton of flaws to be found anywhere – including in its White Platinum Pearl paint, save for a couple of scuffs on the mirrors. However, this SUV has been in two rear-end collisions, though the resulting damage was obviously repaired afterward.
The same goes for the comfy looking Stone leather interior, which is filled with amenities such as heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable front bucket seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs, power-folding third-row seats, power-adjustable pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear climate and audio controls, a backup camera, a premium sound system, and SYNC infotainment.
This Ford Expedition is powered by the naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8 – in this guise factory-rated to generate 310 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque, which in this case flows to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Well-equipped and in nice condition with an accident history, it stands to reason that this Expedition might actually sell at a bit of a discount, and it could make someone a suitable daily driver at the right price, if nothing else.
