Ford Motor Company is recalling select four-door 2023-2024 Ford Bronco models over an issue with the child safety locks.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the left-side rear door may be opened from the inside of the vehicle when the child safety lock is in the “ON” position.
The hazards: a malfunctioning child safety lock that allows a rear door to be opened unintentionally can increase the risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Affected vehicles: select four-door 2023-2024 Ford Bronco SUVs produced between November 28th, 2023, and December 17th, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 9,847
The fix: dealers will inspect the child safety locks and replace the rear door latch, as necessary, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on April 16th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S15.
