As has historically been the case, the launch of the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang last year has since spawned a host of aftermarket upgrades for the S650 generation pony car, including multiple choices in terms of supercharger kits – specifically, for the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine. One of those offerings comes straight from the Ford Performance catalog itself, which The Blue Oval previously unveiled last November. However, at that time, it didn’t provide all of the specifics pertaining to this 2024 Ford Mustang supercharger, though now, it has done exactly that.
Developed in conjunction with Whipple, the new Ford Performance 2024 Ford Mustang supercharger kit (part number M-6066-M8800) enables pony cars equipped with the active exhaust to churn out an impressive 810 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque, and an even 800 ponies for cars that are equipped with the standard exhaust. The new supercharger kit is compatible with the GT equipped with either the manual or automatic transmission, though a Dark Horse specific supercharger kit will follow in the near future as well.
As for the GT kit, it includes Whipple’s sixth-generation 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, a 92mm throttle body, a 120mm dual air intake system, dual high-flow filters, billet high flow fuel rails, an oversized heat exchanger, a high-flow intercooler pump, high-flow dual-beam fuel injectors, an integrated intercooled air-bypass system, and the Tomahawk V2 flash tool with data logging capacity. The new offering comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty and is CARB compliant when installed by an ASE-certified technician or Blue Oval dealer, with pricing coming in at $9,995 sans installation.
“The Ford Performance supercharger kit means more power and more excitement for Mustang owners,” said product manager Michael Goodwin. “With at least 800 horsepower, this Ford Performance option takes the already-powerful Ford Mustang GT to an extreme level that should satisfy even the most demanding driver.”

Ford: Part of why the dark horse costs more is stronger internals.
Also Ford: our FI kits makes the same power on the DH and GT
Dear Ford Performance!
I am interested in the Ford Mustang S650 supercharger kit.
The GT model has 480 horsepower, while the Dark Horse has 500..however, if I want a supercharger kit for my Dark Horse model, it can do the same as a plain GT, why is this?
According to the news, Dark Horse will get a charger that can only be used for this model… so shouldn’t I wait for that? Can a more powerful car be charged as much as a weaker one on paper? I don’t think it’s realistic!
Thank you in advance for your answer!
Best regards
