2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Gains Standard MagneRide System

Entering its fourth model year of production, the Ford Mustang Mach-E isn’t facing the same sort of high demand as previously did, which has led to increasing inventory, the introduction of incentives, and some price cuts for outgoing 2023 model year examples. However, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E soldiers on with a handful of notable changes, many of which Ford Authority has outlined over the past few months. Now, sources familiar with the matter have informed Ford Authority of another upcoming change to that same lineup – the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, specifically, is gaining the MagneRide system as standard equipment.

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT now comes standard with the MagneRide damping system, which is a big change from previous model years, when that same system was included as standard equipment on the pricier GT Performance Edition. Now, the GT Performance Edition has been deleted for the new model year, meaning that the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is picking up one of its standard features.

In addition to this update, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E lineup is receiving some other changes compared to the outgoing 2023 model. For starters, the Premium trim no longer comes with the Panoramic Fixed-Glass Roof as standard, since that feature is now an option. The EV crossover is getting bronze wheels and other features in that finish via the new Bronze Appearance Package, and is gaining the new Rally trim, though it’s also losing the California Route 1 model.

All of these updates are being accompanied by price increases in some cases – including the GT, which is $1,600 pricier than before. Meanwhile, as Ford Authority previously reported, order banks for select 2024 Mach-E trims opened up back in November, though that didn’t include the GT or Rally at that time.
