2024 Ford Mustang Owners Will Get New Feature In April

The 2024 Ford Mustang launched months ago, but now that we’ve entered the new calendar year, The Blue Oval is also marking 60 years since the pony car debuted at the 1964 New York Auto Show. That means that the automaker has several special events and other cool things in store designed to celebrate that milestone, many of which haven’t yet been revealed. One of those mysterious items is apparently a new feature of some kind that 2024 Ford Mustang owners will be able to receive in April, too.

2024 Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Badge

“Seventh-generation Mustang owners can celebrate the 60th anniversary with an exclusive new feature coming to their cars around April 17th. Owners will need to turn on ‘Automatic Software Updates’ in the ‘Settings’ menu through their vehicle’s SYNC 4 touchscreen to receive this special feature,” the automaker noted as part of its celebration marking the Mustang’s status as the best-selling sports car in the world in 2023.

At the moment, it’s entirely unclear what this special feature might be, but it’s obviously software-related, and most likely something that also helps mark the pony car’s 60 years of existence. Currently, the 2024 Ford Mustang is playing a central role in this year-long celebration, and it’s also going be the star of an upcoming multi-city U.S. tour called “Mustang Unleashed” that’s set to kick off next month as well.

Additionally, as Ford Authority reported earlier today, the 2024 Ford Mustang is set to gain a 60th Anniversary Package, though FoMoCo hasn’t yet revealed that either. However, those that attend an upcoming fan event at Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 17th will get a sneak peek at this limited-edition offering, and they’ll also get to try out some new, exclusive ownership experiences while they’re there, too.

We’ll have more on this special new 2024 Ford Mustang feature soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

  1. Ford could always deploy new cool software themes and wallpapers to Sync 3 owners. They just never bothered to. We were lucky to get bug fixes
