Following the launch of the all-new Ford Ranger in several international markets, the redesigned pickup debuted for North America back in May 2023. At that time, The Blue Oval stated that the 2024 Ford Ranger was scheduled to launch in the U.S. last summer – at least models equipped with the 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost, with variants packing the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost expected to follow suit in the fall. However, even as a number of 2024 Ford Ranger pickups have been built at the Michigan Assembly plant in recent months, deliveries still hadn’t begun – at least until now.
A Ford spokesperson has confirmed to Ford Authority that the 2024 Ford Ranger lineup is now officially on its way to dealers, meaning that the brand new mid-size pickup will soon be hitting American roads. The 2024 Ford Ranger features a number of notable changes – including perhaps the biggest in the debut of the high-performance Ranger Raptor powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost, which will be sold in the U.S. for the very first time after existing in international markets for years now.
As Ford Authority previously reported, the most popular 2024 Ranger configurations thus far have been the Ranger XL STX with four-wheel-drive finished in Oxford White, the Ranger XLT Sport 4WD with the available tow package in Cactus Gray, and the Ranger Lariat Sport 4WD with the available tow package. In total, 80 percent of 2024 Ford Ranger customers have opted for four-wheel drive in general, too.
In addition to new styling inside and out, coupled with a handful of other major changes, the 2024 Ford Ranger nearly matches the EPA fuel economy ratings of its predecessor, as Ford Authority recently reported. However, all of this new goodness also comes at a cost, as the new Ranger is more expensive across the board – though in some cases, that increase can be attributed to the presence of more standard equipment.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford Ranger soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Ranger news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

When can we expect availability of a PHEV or Hybrid version ?
Leave the Ranger alone, go buy a Rivian.
Rivian ? Please, you must be jocking.
Must not have liked my comment????
I ordered a RangerJune 16 2023 still have no idea where it is at. If I can find a 24 Colorado I’ll get one had with Ford.
Apparently you haven’t been paying attention to the news.
Colorado is definitely a great midsized truck but the Ranger is better. Better built. Better proven engine lineup. Stronger frame an more advanced suspension. I will gladly wait for my ’24 Ranger XLT FX4 w/2.3L GTDI Ecoboost.
Have ordered a 2024 Ranger in February 24. Still no serial number at dealer. So no build date. Someone at ford needs a head shake. Fill the orders that are sold an guit building units that are not selling.
I ordered mine around may. I got a VIN and window sticker.
