Over the past few months, Ford Authority has spotted refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick prototypes out testing on multiple occasions – previewing some forthcoming changes for the relatively-new compact pickup. Aside from some potential updates in terms of styling on the front and rear fascias – typical changes for most mid-cycle actions – this refresh is also expected to bring about some notable upgrades for the interior of the 2025 Ford Maverick – including, it seems, the presence of a much larger infotainment screen compared to the current model.
We got our first look at this big update in February when Ford Authority spotted what appeared to be the same type of screen present in the redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger rather than the 13.2-inch unit used in the refreshed 2023 and up Ford Escape. This is notable because the Maverick shares the Ford C2 platform with the Escape – not the Ranger, which instead rides on the T6 platform. However, this 2025 Ford Maverick prototype is equipped with something altogether different.
Here, we can clearly see the 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen that’s currently featured in the 2024 Ford Mustang and 2023 and up Escape, sporting a dedicated section of screen for one’s smartphone on the right hand side, coupled with the home icon on the upper left – which is notable, since the new Ford Digital Experience software looks much different. This news seems to indicate that the refreshed Maverick will not utilize the Ranger’s portrait oriented screen as well.
This particular screen will likely be optional in the 2025 Ford Maverick, given the presence of a leather-wrapped steering wheel in the same cabin – though it utilizes the same design as the current model. If that’s the case, it’s unclear what the standard setup might consist of, but in the Escape, the base screen is an 8-inch unit running Sync 4. Currently, the Maverick comes with an eight-inch touchscreen, and Sync 3 is standard on the Lariat trim. As Ford Authority recently reported, the refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport will also feature the same 13.2-inch screen.
In addition to this feature, it also looks like this 2025 Ford Maverick prototype may also be equipped with a full 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, though it’s covered up rather well, so that detail is hard to discern. On the Escape, this same unit is paired with the Teck Pack #2 package as an option, even on the base Active trim.
Aside from the addition of this new screen, the 2025 Ford Maverick is expected to receive some minor exterior styling updates at the front and rear portions of the vehicle, along with some other potential changes such as the addition of new variants. Last June, Ford Authority exclusively reported that a street performance version of the Ford Maverick was in the works, and shortly thereafter, spotted what seemed to be a prototype of that model out at FoMoCo’s test track, followed by a pair of additional prototypes as well. Back in August, Ford filed to trademark “Maverick Lobo,” which could signal the arrival of this or yet another variant, too.

And it’ll only be $40k for the lariat!
Likely more than that for a plug in hybrid. Just paid 38 for a 2024
How about 4 wheel drive hybrid? I heard that it was coming 2025?
Yeah because everything is getting updated in 2025 all of the sudden. I’d hate to see how much the MSRP jumps up to.
