The Ford Mustang Mach-E has long been a highly-praised model among owners and critics alike, landing on Consumer Reports‘ recommended vehicles list multiple times, while also ranking among that organization’s most satisfying vehicles to own as well – regardless of age group. Thus, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to learn that the Ford Mustang Mach-E has now been singled out as a very satisfying vehicle to own by Edmunds, too.
Edmunds has had a Ford Mustang Mach-E in its long-term test fleet for a little over two years now, meaning that time has come to let it go back to the automaker. Turns out, the organization wasn’t exactly thrilled to have to give up the EV crossover either, even after it drove its Mach-E – a Premium trim model with the extended range battery – nearly 20,000 miles over that time span, to boot.
Edmunds has loads of praise to lavish on its Ford Mustang Mach-E, including its excellent range that reached 341 miles in real-world testing – beating its EPA estimates by a sound margin – though it wasn’t too crazy about the infotainment system. “It doesn’t matter how big your screen is if there’s nothing to see or if the display freezes, lags, and generally performs like an iPod Nano dunked in a hot bath,” said Edmunds editor Jake Sundstrom. Regardless, the rag also praised the Mach-E’s copious amounts of storage space, as well as its satisfying driving experience.
“The Mach-E is a really pleasant car to live with,” Sundstrom added. “Its ride quality is good, its large infotainment screen (mostly) works as advertised, and it’s plenty powerful without feeling like it belongs on a drag strip instead of a highway. All told, this is my favorite of the electric SUVs we’ve owned so far.”
We’ll have more on the Mach-E soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
