Those seeking to unleash a little more power from their sixth-generation Ford Bronco have quite a few choices in that regard, ranging from aftermarket air induction systems to calibrations and even complete performance packages. That list continues to grow as Ford Bronco owners are keen to modify their rides as well – in more ways than one. The latest addition to this ever-expanding list just arrived, too – a new intake system for the Ford Bronco from Cobb Tuning.
Cobb Tuning’s new upgraded intake system for the 2021-present Ford Bronco can be configured in two different ways, too – as a sealed airbox with a clear plexiglass cover, or as an open-air variant that utilizes an aluminum grate. Either way, it also includes a filter that’s designed to increase the flow of air into the engine thanks to its woven cotton and metal mesh, molded rubber base, and a top that helps keep it sealed up when needed.
According to Cobb, its new intake system can improve airflow by as much as nine percent over the stock piece with the sealed clear window installed, or 21 percent with the open grated option. Cobb notes that it included the option to switch between these two types of covers so that owners can keep the air filter exposed in normal conditions, yet quickly seal it up when they want to do some serious off-roading or ford water.
Either way, this new piece is available for both the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost and twin-turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engines, too. Thanks to the fact that it has a California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number, Cobb’s Ford Bronco intake system is 50-state emissions legal, and it’s available to purchase now for a retail price of $375.
We’ll have more new parts and accessories to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
