Ford Bronco Production Increased In February 2024

The sixth-generation Ford Bronco debuted right in the midst of the global pandemic, which meant that The Blue Oval had a hard time building enough units to meet tremendous demand for some time – a problem compounded by the United Auto Workers (UAW) strike impacting the Michigan Assembly plant last fall, which brought production to a complete halt for a short time. The strike ended in late October when Ford and the UAW reached a tentative agreement that was later ratified, and as such, Ford Bronco production at MAP wound up bouncing back in a big way in both November and December to close out 2023. In the first month of this year, 2024 Ford Bronco production actually decreased however, though it increased slightly in February according to FoMoCo’s latest sales report.

In December 2023, Ford Bronco production at MAP reached 13,342 units, which represented a 23.8 percent increase versus November. However, in January, Ford Bronco production declined to 12,143 units, which represents a decrease of 1,199 units, or just a touch less than nine percent. That number did improve by 516 units or just over four percent in February, closing out last month at 12,659 units, at least.

Meanwhile, the Ford Ranger – which is built alongside the Ford Bronco at MAP – has endured its fair share of ups and downs recently as The Blue Oval works to launch the all-new 2024 model. In January, a grand total of 2,644 2024 Ford Ranger pickups were built at MAP, which represented an increase of 2,242 units, or 558 percent, compared to December 2023. That number grew to 2,871 units in February – an increase of 227 units, or around 8.6 percent, and deliveries of the redesigned pickup have since commenced.

As Ford Authority previously reported, increasing Ford Bronco inventory levels prompted The Blue Oval to launch a new stairstep program for January that paid dealers $500 per 2023 or 2024 model year Bronco sold, so long as they also exceeded 100 percent of their sales objectives. Dealers that exceeded that same goal by 110 percent received $750 per Ford Bronco sold, too.
