Ford Chile Sales Up 12 Percent In February 2024

Ford Chile sales increased 12 percent to 972 units in February 2024. The figures place Ford as the eighth country’s best-selling automobile brand during the month, behind Toyota, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki, Peugeot, and Mitsubishi.

Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Ford model sales performance (for models for which sales data is available) was as follows:

Ford F-Series sales totaled 160 units
Ford Heavy Trucks sales totaled 1 units
Ford Maverick sales totaled 59 units
Ford Ranger sales increased 23.95 percent to 295 units
Ford Territory sales increased 13.11 percent to 233 units
Ford Transit sales decreased 40.23 percent to 52 units

In addition to the models specified, Ford also markets the following vehicles in Chile:

During the first two months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Chile sales increased 27 percent to 2,235 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Chile sales increased healthily during the month of February, marking the brand’s fifth consecutive monthly increase in the country. The bad news is that Ford’s volume in the Chilean market fell below 1,000 units for the first time in seven months.

Once again, Ford Chile’s February momentum was led by incremental sales of the new Ford Ranger. The midsize pickup managed to increase its year-over-year volume by double digits and remains the brand’s best-selling model in the country. For its part, the Ford Territory once again followed closely in second position thanks to its increased popularity among customers.

In addition, the Ford F-150 once again occupied first place in full-size pickup sales in Chile; 151 deliveries of its archrival Chevrolet Silverado, to be exact. By contrast, the Ford Maverick had a disappointing month, with just 59 units sold.
