Since its launch for the 2022 model year, the Ford E-Transit has been a smash hit with commercial fleet customers. In fact, the E-Transit has dominated its segment quarter after quarter even as competition grows in the EV van space, prompting The Blue Oval to ramp up production to meet demand. In the meantime, the Ford E-Transit continues to expand its global reach as well, most recently, by heading to two markets in South America – Brazil and Argentina, where it has been participating in pilot programs with a number of companies for some time now. Now, E-Transit sales have officially begun in Argentina, just a couple of months after it was originally announced for that market.
In Argentina, the Ford E-Transit is available in four different configurations – low-roof, medium-roof, and high-roof cargo vans as well as chassis cab- along with features including adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and lane keep assist. It’s powered by a single electric motor churning out 268 horsepower and 430Nm (317 pound-feet) of torque, and a battery with 68 kWh of usable capacity, giving the EV van a WLTP-rated range of up to 317 kilometers (197 miles).
Inside the cabin, the E-Transit features a 12-inch infotainment screen running SYNC 4, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, push button start, three different drive modes, and even a pre-conditioning feature, which allows owners/users to warm up the battery before their scheduled departure while it’s still on the charger, making for a more efficient drive.
In terms of pricing, the Ford E-Transit in Argentina starts out at $88,082,280 ARS for the low-roof cargo van, $91,141,050 for the medium-roof, $95,541,215 for the high-roof, and and $91,222,340 for the chassis cab model, while customers can also take advantage of the full array of Ford Pro connected vehicles service, to boot.
