Having been on the market for a number of years now, the Ford Escape continues to rank among the most popular vehicles in the crossover-hungry U.S., too. In fact, the Ford Escape recently ranked among the top-searched new vehicles in a study conducted by Consumer Reports, and in the used market, that same model was among the most popular overall choices in 2022, as well as 2023, according to iSeeCars. Now, the recent release of Experian’s Q4 2023 Automotive Market Trends report reveals that the Ford Escape remains among the top 10 vehicles in operation on U.S. roads right now, too.
Last year, the Ford F-150 once again topped this particular list by a large margin after accounting for 3.7 percent of the U.S. market, compared to 2.7 percent for the second-place Chevy Silverado 1500. This comes as no big surprise given the fact that the F-150 has been one of the best-selling vehicles in the U.S. for decades to this point, but it also wasn’t the only Blue Oval model that made the cut on this particular list – not by a long shot.
Rather, the Ford Escape wound up ranking tenth by accounting for 1.3 percent of vehicles on American roads, placing it behind only the F-150 and Silverado 1500, along with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, Toyota Corolla, Toyota RAV4, and Toyota Tacoma. The Escape also managed to beat out the Nissan Altima, GMC Sierra 1500, Ram 1500, Chevy Equinox, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Rogue, Ford Fusion, Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Malibu, Chevy Silverado 2500HD, Toyota Tundra, and Subaru Outback – a pretty interesting who’s who list of the vehicles that Americans prefer the most in recent years.
We’ll have more on the Escape soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Escape news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

Maybe Ford should spend less money on advertising and more money on a quality product.
