Ford Expedition Stealth Performance Arrives In Mexico

The Ford Expedition last received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2022 model year, one that brought about a few updates for the full-size SUV – including the debut of two new variants in the on-road-focused Stealth Performance and the off-road-capable Timberline. While it may not bear the ST moniker, the Ford Expedition Stealth Performance model is still undoubtedly quick, sprinting from 0-to-60 miles-per-hour in just 4.9 seconds, thanks to its high-output version of the twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that generates 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Now, the Ford Expedition Stealth has launched in a new market – Mexico.

The Ford Expedition has been on sale in Mexico for two years now, but was originally only available in two trims and three different configurations – Limited and Limited Max in two-wheel drive, and Platinum Max in four-wheel drive. However, the Timberline joined the lineup last October, and now, the Stealth is expanding it even further.

The Mexican version of the Ford Expedition Stealth Performance model is essentially identical to the American variant – though in this case, it’s based on the Limited Max only – which means that it sports several unique touches on the exterior and interior. Those include a gloss-black grille, mirror caps, roof rails, running boards, tailgate appliqué, rear bumper skid plate, fog lamp bezels, and headlamp and taillamp housings, plus black “Expedition” and “Limited” badges in the front and rear, new black Ford oval emblems, and 22-inch premium black aluminum wheels.

Along with its more powerful engine, the Expedition Stealth also gets a sport-tuned suspension for more lively handling, coupled with red brake calipers. In Mexico, this sporty SUV is slated to start out at rather hefty $1,817,000 MXN, however – or $108,411 USD.
