Following its successful debut in the U.S., Ford Pro – the automaker’s highly-profitable, dedicated commercial entity – launched in Europe back in April 2022. That particular market is a bit different, however, in that its fleet customers tend to gravitate toward vans rather than trucks, as the Ford Transit Custom routinely tops the sales charts, to the point where CEO Jim Farley recently called that model “the Super Duty of Europe.” Now, Ford Pro Europe wants to shine some light on small business owners across Europe that go the extra mile with a new initiative called “Ultimate Pros.”
According to Ford Pro, small- and medium-sized companies make up 99 percent of all businesses in Europe, though those entities often have to work harder and achieve success with fewer resources than larger outfits. Thus, Ford Pro wants to help give those companies a boost, which they can receive by tagging themselves or others in social media posts using “Ultimate Pros,” giving them some extra traction in that regard.
From there, Ford will choose a select number of smaller companies that will then get to work with Ford Pro in a collaborative nature, granting them behind-the-scenes access to new vehicles and services, as well as helping them improve their productivity and efficiency. Ford Pro experts will take part in local drive events and Q&A sessions with business owners as part of this new initiative, too.
“Small business owners often have to wear many hats – accountant, driver, coordinator, human resources, and that’s all before they’ve even begun their real job,” said Hans Schep, General Manager Ford Pro, Europe. “Our products and services are designed to help, to be that steady hand behind every small business owner, allowing them to continue being the ultimate professionals that we know they are.”
