In recent months, Blue Oval fans looking to start a vintage sign collection have had the perfect opportunity to do precisely that, as we’ve seen a number of them cross the auction block lately. That list includes an illuminated Ford Blue Oval sign, a light-up Ford RS Cosworth sign, a vintage illuminated Ford Mustang sign, and a 1940s Lincoln Mercury neon porcelain sign, to name just a few. Now, Lincoln Mark III fans can bid on this very cool sign that’s currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer, too.
Like the aforementioned pieces of memorabilia, this Lincoln Mark III sign is illuminated as well, thanks to the presence of two fluorescent bulbs that are housed within the enclosure itself. The sign is wired for 120-volt circuitry, and a power cord exits from the top, making it easy to hang via the mounting eye bolt located in the top of the enclosure and plug in for other Blue Oval fans to admire when they swing by.
This double-sided illuminated Lincoln Mark III sign is rectangular in shape and measures in at roughly 20.5 inches wide by 37.5 inches tall and nine inches deep, proudly displaying the Lincoln logo in red and white with black outlines on translucent panels, coupled with specific model it’s referring to. The sign is enclosed in a wooden structure with a metal frame and features internal fluorescent fixtures, and was just acquired by the seller in 2024.
While it’s perhaps a bit more niche than some of the other collectible Blue Oval signage we’ve seen recently, this Lincoln Mark III sign is undoubtedly a cool piece of memorabilia – one that we imagine more than a few Lincoln and/or Mark III fans may find to be an irresistible addition to their garage, recreational room, or just about anywhere else it can be displayed prominently.
