NASCAR Ford Truck Falls Short At COTA 2024: Video

Continuing a lackluster season for The Blue Oval in the Truck Series, Ty Majeski’s No. 98 NASCAR Ford F-150 just didn’t have the speed to pull off the win at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on March 23rd, 2024.

Majeski managed to pace the leaders for most of the race, finishing second in Stage 1 behind Nick Sanchez in the No. 2 Chevy Silverado RST and tailing Corey Heim’s No. 11 Toyota TRD Tundra across the line in Stage 2. Majeski even got up front for two laps, but wasn’t able to hold off the field.

When the green flag fell on Stage 3, Majeski tried to put the No. 98 F-150 to the point, but was cleared by Heim heading into Turn 1. Majeski then traded second place with the No. 7 Silverado of Connor Zilisch for a few laps, eventually completing the pass. However, he ultimately finished third behind a pair of Toyota racers as Heim celebrated in Victory Lane.

Ben Rhodes put the No. 99 NASCAR Ford F-150 across the line in seventh, while the next-best Blue Oval team was the No. 13 F-150 of Jake Garcia in 14th.

  1. Wish Ford would pull out of trucks…until Nascar lets each manufactuer run it own designed engine….Ford is using a LS..GM designed…there racing team should be ashamed of even the thought of that…and most people know it….demotes the F 150 image…there bread and butter…they have plenty of crate motors and and sealed engines they could run….
