1994 Ford Explorer XLT With 51K Miles Up For Auction

Those in the market for a nice Ford Explorer from the 1990s have had quite a few to choose from as of late, including a 1993 Eddie Bauer with 56k miles, a 1994 Eddie Bauer with 77k miles, and a 1994 Sport with 68k miles. Now, that list has expanded yet again, this time, to include yet another nice example of the long-running model in solid shape – this 1994 Ford Explorer XLT, which has a mere 51k miles on the clock and is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

1994 Ford Explorer XLT With 51K Miles - Exterior 002 - Rear Three Quarters

This 1994 Ford Explorer XLT has bounced around between the northeastern states of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey since it was sold new, though unlike the aforementioned models we’ve seen at auction lately, it isn’t bone stock, either. Rather, the red SUV sports a few aftermarket parts on the exterior that include a bull bar, tinted vent shades, a Curt roof-mounted cargo basket, and a receiver hitch, coupled with Skyjacker shocks underneath.

Inside the cabin, this Explorer is equipped with gray cloth seats and amenities including air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, a center console, and a Bluetooth Pioneer CD stereo, plus WeatherTech cargo liner and front floor liners, to boot.

Power for this 1994 Ford Explorer comes from the quite-common naturally-aspirated 4.0L V6, factory rated to produce 160 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the rear or all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller has done quite a bit of maintenance as of late, replacing the fuel pump module, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, drive belt tensioner, and valve cover gaskets, meaning that this modern classic should be good to go for its new owner.

Beautiful rig, but these can be found in excellent shape in the PNW for decent money. Really thinking about going out there and picking one up myself. Should go well with the other ’90s Fords in my collection.
