While it’s still a relatively modern vehicle, the tenth-generation Ford F-150 has also recently become more of a collector’s item – at least examples with lower miles that are in solid condition. In that regard, we’ve seen quite a few nice examples cross the virtual auction block as of late, a list that includes a 1999 XL with 3,500 miles, a 2003 XLT with 43k miles, a 1999 Lariat with 45k miles, and a 2000 Flareside with 27k miles. Now, that list has grown again, this time, to include a very nice 2001 Ford F-150 XLT up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.
Despite the fact that it’s decades old to this point, this 2001 Ford F-150 has a mere 40k miles showing on the odometer, and it’s in very nice condition as a result. The SuperCab model is finished in Arizona Beige Clearcoat Metallic paint with no flaws noted in the auction listing, in fact, and is in mostly stock condition with the original 17-inch five-hole cast-aluminum wheels, though the tires are currently a mix-and-match affair.
The Medium Parchment cloth is in equally nice condition, though it’s rather basic compared to more modern, feature-rich pickups – which isn’t necessary a bad thing. There are plenty of amenities to be found, however, including a power-adjustable driver’s seat, power windows and locks, an overhead console, air conditioning, cruise control, and an aftermarket stereo head unit.
Power for this particular Ford F-150 comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8, which was originally rated to produce 260 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. In this case, that power flows to all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission, and this pickup is also equipped with the optional 4×4 Off-Road Equipment Group – making it a nice, gently used tenth-generation F-150, if we’ve ever seen one.
