Over the past several months, we’ve seen quite a few low-mile Ford Focus models pop up for sale, a list that includes a 2003 Focus SVT with 25k miles, a 2003 ZXT with 15k miles, a 2004 SVT with 42k miles, a 2003 ZX3 SVT with 345 miles, a 2002 SE wagon with 61k miles, and a rather interesting, never-titled 2002 Ford Focus LX with just 134 miles on the odometer. Now, that list has grown yet again, as this very nice 2004 Ford Focus ZX5 SVT has surfaced for auction at Bring a Trailer with a rather low 43k miles on the clock, too.
This Ford Focus is one of just 1,079 five-door hatchbacks built in this particular model’s final year of production, which makes it even more special – as well as one of just 362 ZX5 SVTs finished in CD Silver for the 2004 model year – and it was also a one-owner car until the seller acquired it last October. Thanks to its low mileage total, there aren’t too many issues to note either, save for a few blemishes on the outside and a little corrosion on the rocker panels.
The same it true of the interior, which is in very nice condition with black leather seats containing red cloth inserts, along with amenities such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, the Audiophile AM/FM stereo system, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors. Underneath, the ZX5 SVT was fortified with a larger rear anti-roll bar and a stiffer suspension, too.
Pop the hood, and one will find Ford’s 2.0L four-cylinder Zetec engine, which was developed with Cosworth and factory-rated to send 170 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a Getrag six-speed manual transmission. This rather cool, somewhat rare, and certainly special hot hatch should drum up its fair share of interest at auction too, given the fact that it has a lot to offer for enthusiasts that miss this kind of machine.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Focus news and continuous Ford news coverage.

My 2004 ZTS with the PZEV engine had more torque.
