Though it’s been out for a few years now, the video game Forza Horizon 5 continues to add new features and vehicles, many of which are of the Blue Oval persuasion. That list includes the sixth-generation Ford Bronco, the the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 EV demonstrator, the high-performance Ford Bronco Raptor, the 2001 Ford Focus RS famously driven by Colin McRae, and the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning. Now, that list is expanding yet again, this time, to include the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R.
The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is being added to Forza Horizon 5 as part of the new Horizon Festival, which will call for players to team up and race together to unlock rewards in everyone’s garage. This includes a host of vehicles, as one might imagine, along with various other rewards and in-game items, and will also feature the Horizon Race-Off – a pair of community-wide goals revolving around racing on asphalt and off-road conditions.
Completing the asphalt portion of the Horizon Race-Off nets players the 2024 Ford Mustang GT, but the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is the prize for gathering up enough points in the off-road portion. In that, players will participate in some cross-country dirt racing in Mexico, hazard racing on a Hot Wheels track, and a rally adventure as part of the Horizon Raptors Races.
That alone is a pretty cool prize on its own accord, but this update adds a bevy of additional features as well, including a new, unique pair of Outposts decorated with colors and logos of each racing division. The new Outposts will even switch locations each week the series takes place, giving players a nice little change of scenery as they progress on their mission.
We’ll have more on the Ford F-150 Raptor R soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-150 news, Ford F-150 Raptor news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.
