No-cost paint options seem to be becoming increasingly rare in The Blue Oval’s lineup, considering that the 2024 Ford Mustang has all but eliminated its lineup of zero-cost colors in favor of premium options. The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport is following suit, and has stricken a few colors from its selection of no-cost options and made them extra-cost choices. In other words, several free colors for the 2024 Bronco Sport now cost extra for the rugged crossover.
Ford recently updated the color options on its website, allowing customers to explore what hues are available for the 2024 Bronco Sport while outlining how much each one costs. Specifically Atlas Blue, Eruption Green, Cactus Gray and Desert Sand are no longer no-cost paint colors for the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport. All four of these colors are now priced at $295, further limiting the pool of free colors that are offered on the off-road crossover.
In fact, only three hues are still zero-cost choices, including Shadow Black, Oxford White and Carbonized Gray. On the pricier side of things, Hot Pepper Red Tinted Clearcoat remains a $495 option, while Azure Gray Tinted Clearcoat is still a $995 extra for the Bronco Sport.
As for other shakeups to the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport color lineup, the off-road crossover ditched a handful of colors that had previously been available since the 2021 model year, while two new colors joined the list. This includes Azure Gray Tinted Clearcoat and Desert Sand.
As Ford Authority previously reported, alterations to the Bronco Sport lineup include the deletion of the base trim and the windshield wiper de-icer. However, a new Black Appearance Package is now available for Big Bend, and the all-new Free Wheeling trim was introduced as a colorful retro-inspired variant for the rugged off-road crossover.

I’ve owned a ford for about 40 years off and on, if they’re going to charge that kind of money for basic paint colors, they’ve lost my business. I’ll check out Honda or Hyundai.
Charging for paint colors would not be a big deal if they were to offer a greater selection and allow people to more personalize their vehicle. To offer only 4 or 5 colors and charge a premium for them is really a joke.
Wtf ford. Charging for basic paint choices? I get the premium on a specialty tri coat paint. But standard blue? Get real. Combined with the 5 recalls on my 2022 Bronco Sport it’s making it very easy to take my business elsewhere.
This is about as dumb as dropping the iconic cyber orange colour from the line. When someone thinks Bronco that is the first colour that comes to mind since it’s in every commercial, advert, heck it’s even the default colour in the Forza game. Not puke green or old man dusty gold.
Next you’ll tell me despite it increasing market share in its class this year they’ll discontinue the edge….oh wait that already happened.
