The 2024 Ford Escape brings minor changes to the crossover following a comprehensive refresh for the 2023 model year. In fact, the biggest news for the crossover is the transition of the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad from a factory-installed option to a dealer-installed one, and that the Base trim was deleted from the lineup. However, there are also a pair of new dealer-installed accessories offered up for the 2024 Escape, and below, Ford Authority lays out everything there is to know about the new choices.
The first new dealer-installed option (DIO) for the 2024 Ford Escape is a set of splash guards. These cost $210, and ship separately from the vehicle to be installed at the destination dealer. All models in the Ford Escape line can be fitted with the splash guards, including Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, Platinum, ST-Line Elite, and PHEV trims.
Meanwhile, the base 2024 Ford Escape Active can be dressed up with the optional Active Decal, which adds $425 to the overall cost of the crossover. The decal is a simple black pinstripe that runs from the outer corner of the headlight to the rear quarter panel, following the crossover’s body lines to create a point of visual interest on its sides. This add-on is exclusive to the Active trim and is not able to be added to any others.
The 2024 Ford Escape now comes standard with a bevy of equipment, including a chrome front grille strip, body-color door handles, chrome upper window molding, black beltline molding, a power liftgate, privacy glass, and 17-inch Shadow Silver-painted aluminum wheels on the outside. The crossover dropped two colors that were previously available for the 2023 model year, while gaining one new one known as Race Red. Additionally, changes were made to the crossover’s Connected Navigation subscription, which now only offers one year of complimentary service as opposed to three.

$495 for a pinstripe. Great, so it’s now not only dealerships with their overpriced add ons but the manufacturer, too.
Forgot the fact that there is no longer free “Built In Navigation” in the 2024s. If you want Nav, you either pay the subscription or use the cheap Android/Apple apps
